Francisco Meirino

Meirino's works explore the tension between programmable material and the potential for its failure. He is primarily interested in the idea of recording what is not supposed to be: gear failures, the death of PA systems, magnetic fields and electrostatic noises while transforming these soundscapes into challenging compositions. Francisco Meirino's music is fascinating by its physical intensity and detailed precision. He has played more than 200 live performances in various venues in Europe, Japan and North America. For his first UK's appearance, he will present a new piece based on his real time manipulation of his modular synthesizer, sharing with the audience his remarkable craft for experimental electronic music.
