Anenon

Anenon is the ongoing solo studio and live project of Los Angeles native Brian Allen Simon, whom since 2010 has released multiple albums and EPs to critical acclaim, including the highly revered ‘Tongue’ (2018) and ‘Petrol’ (2016), and most recently ‘Moons Melt Milk Light’ (2023) on label imprint Tonal Union.

Brian's atmospheric music incorporates both acoustic and electronic instrumentation, textured ambience, improvisation, and abstraction into a sound all his own. Simon has performed internationally in support of artists such as Laurel Halo, Julia Holter, Richard Hell, Morton Subotnick, Kelly Moran, and many more. He has collaborated with Sam Gendel, Laila Sakini, Nite Jewel, Miha Trifa, Chantal Michelle, Hugh Small of legendary post punk band Vazz. and with the visual and performance artist Susan Cianciolo. Brian officially remixed Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Life, Life" in 2018, and In 2016 alongside NIck Malkin, was co-curator of Monument—a series of ambient music performances at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. He is also a long time host of Non Projections, a monthly show on LA radio institution dublab.
