Pat Thomas solo piano

Pat Thomas studied classical piano from aged 8 and started playing jazz around his hometown of Oxford from the age of 16. He has since gone on to develop an utterly unique style - embracing improvisation, jazz, electronics and punk. He has played with Derek Bailey in Company Week, with Tony Oxley’s Quartet and Celebration Orchestra, Duo with Lol Coxhill and as half of Black Top with Orphy Robinson. Solo, his playing is abstract, melodic and utterly bonkers - but always under his genuis control.

Big thanks to Pat for sharing this, and thanks to John Chantler for a great recording.
