Lagoss (Canary Islands)
Brand new experimental improv trio from Tenerife made up of Daniel Garcia, Gonçalo F. Cardoso and Mladen Kurajica. All three experienced musicians in their own right through various projects with an international following including Gonzo, GAF, Papillon, Tupperwear, Salétile, Afgan and many other collaborations including São Paulo Underground or Rob Mazurek. Rehearsing regularly in the midst of tropical north tenerife, amongst banana fields, vertiginous cliffs and the ever present wide blue sea, the tropical humid vibe translates effortlessly through the trio's sound.
Bruno Silva's - aka Serpente - most enduring alias, Ondness recorded output sprawls through a cartography of labels like Where to Now?, Seagrave or Paralaxe.
Last year, and after a couple of relatively quiet years release-wise, he released 'Not Really Now Not Any More' on Holuzam and 'Meio Que Sumiu' on the beat-oriented Discrepant sublabel Souk. More to follow, from this speculative threshold unto which refracted dance movements, dub's sense of space, tangents to hauntology and what if possibilities converge in an unresolved hallucinatory cut up.
