Selvhenter are part of the art collective eget værelse and have already been active for fifteen years, performing all over Europe at festivals like LeGuessWho? (Utrecht, NL), Moers Jazzfestival (DE), Summer Bummer (Antwerpen, BE), Taktlos (Zürich, CH), Supersonic Festival (UK), H2Ö Festival, Turku (Finland), Sonic Protest (Paris, FR) and OFF Festival, Katowice (PL) a.o.

Selvhenter honed a sound all its own - an uncompromising, boundless energetic one that blends the aesthetics of experimental rock, the sophistication of improvised free jazz and the aggressiveness of punk, noise and metal, all performed with passion and humor, sometimes even as music fit for dancing.

Their new album Mesmerizer was critically acclaimed in The Quietus and won the prize for Album of the year at the Danish Music Awards Jazz 2023.

Selvhenter will also present other works and projects from their art collective Eget Værelse (A room of one’s own).
