Following the government's announcement that it will stop providing free Lateral Flow Tests, we will no longer be requiring audiences to test before atttending shows here. If it is possible for you to take a test before attending, it's appreciated for the benefit of our artists, staff and audiences, but you will no longer be refused entry without one.
We will also be taking some extra measures to keep you safe and to protect our artists and staff.
If you have Covid symptoms or believe you may have been exposed to infection, please don’t come to our venue. If you are unable to attend an event that you have a ticket for - either due to testing positive or due to having to isolate - then we will be happy to refund you.
Before coming to one of our events, we recommend that you do everything you can to make sure that you personally are not infectious. You can do this by:
For the safety of our staff and your fellow customers, we encourage you to wear masks when moving around the space or going to the bar. Our staff will still be wearing masks until further notice.
We won’t be enforcing these measures; we are just asking you to be kind and thoughtful and take the measures you can for the safety of everyone else and for our artists and staff.
We will be keeping the venue as ventilated as possible. We have an air conditioning system which cycles the air inside the venue and we will be running this whilst we are open aside from during sets.
We will be cleaning all surfaces regularly. Hand sanitiser will be available on arrival and inside the venue. We’ll be reviewing all of these measures as we go and welcome any feedback from visitors to the venue on ways we can make everybody feel safe and comfortable attending shows here.
As a small grassroots venue, these are obviously incredibly challenging times for us. Making a donation, buying records, books or downloads, or becoming a member or patron, are massively helpful ways to ensure we're able to continue presenting some of the most exciting music being created today.
We have been so moved by the way so many of you have already rallied to support us. We cannot express our gratitude enough.
Love and solidarity,
Cafe OTO
