The Seen

The Seen

FRIDAY 26th June 2009

Times : 8pm

Tickets : £6 (Tickets on the door only)

Mark Wastell has been assembling groups of musicians under the name The Seen since 2002. Always electro-acoustic in instrumental make-up and never with a fixed personnel, only the name is permanent. This latest incarnation adds Butcher, Drew, McHugh and Dickson to the group that delivered a mesmerising concert at Cafe Oto back in February.

"The great thing about this set was the variety of sounds and the range of different possibilities and directions that the music could turn to at any time. Throughout all of the twists, turns and musical collisions I was thoroughly engaged, wondering what would come next, or how each little musical problem would be resolved." (www.thewatchfulear.com )

Previous participants include Tetuzi Akiyama, Annette Krebs, Mattin, Andrea Neumann, Rhodri Davies, Burkhard Beins, Tomas Korber, Graham Halliwell, David Toop and Joe Williamson.
