JEAN-DANIEL HÉGÉ
JEAN-DANIEL HÉGÉ (double bass) is a double-bass player based in Strasbourg, France. His extensive practice encompasses free-jazz, orchestral work, chamber music, contemporary music and improvisation. He has been a member of the contemporary chamber music ensemble Accroche Note for 10 years, and in 2008 founded the Hégé Trio. In his solo practice he plays works by John Cage, Giacinto Scelsi, Franco Donatoni, James Dillon and Olivier Messiaen, amongst others. He has played widely throughout Europe, including at the Venice Biennale, Présences de Radio France festival in Paris and most recently the Jazzdor festival in Strasbourg. Born in 1964, he studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique, Lyon and currently teaches improvisation at the Conservatoire National de Région, Strasbourg.

UTE KANNGIESSER
UTE KANNGIESSER (cello), a London-based cellist with main focus on improvised and experimental music. Classically trained as a child and not playing at all for a few years she came back to music and improvisation while training in physical theatre and dance in Berlin. Since then she has been involved with a number of collaborations with dancers, film makers and improvising musicians. She is currently playing with the London Improvisers Orchestra, Guillaume Viltard, Grundik Kasyansky, Jamie Coleman, Dale Berning, and Laura Hyland. And she is a regular player at Eddie Prévost's improvisation workshop.

GUILLAUME VILTARD (double bass) is a London-based double-bass player. He plays in Treehouse - a traditional free chamber music ensemble for cello, trumpet and double-bass with Ute Kanngiesser and Jamie Coleman. DALE BERNING
DALE BERNING (voice, objects and toys) is a French/South African musician and artist based in London. She has exhibited and performed in the UK, France, Germany, the US, Israel and Japan, playing with Ute Kanngiesser, Jean-Daniel Hégé, Tetsuya Umeda, Tenniscoats, John Chantler, Bunsho Nishikawa and Kazuhisa Uchihashi, amongst others. She is represented by Take Ninagawa, Tokyo, and had her second solo show there in January 2009. She has releases on Bo’Weavil Recordings, UK and flaü, Japan.
